Thermal Imaging

Just as the FLIR t440bx can detect subtle temperature gradients in this cup of coffee, the same technology can be used to detect exceptions in the construction of you home.

Thermal Imaging converts thermal radiation (heat transfer in the form of electromagnetic waves) into a picture to be interpreted by a qualified thermographer. We inspect your home and report any exceptions to quality in its thermal and pressure envelopes.

The image at left shows two hot spots around the window in the corner. Heat is radiating out of the warm house, likely due to insufficient R-value of the insulation there.

The attic shot next to it shows cold dark spots in the corner, where air is likely penetrating in through weak spots in the spray foam insulation.

Warm conditioned air leaks out in the Winter, and sun-warmed air leaks in during the Summer, costing you money!
